Exquisite watercolor of cypruses in the Villa Medicis in Rome.

Avy was a student of Bonnat and of Albert Maignat. He was very influenced by the Art Nouveau movement. His painting Le Bal Blanc hangs today in the Petit Palais in Paris. He also decorated the Salle des Mariages de l’Hotel de Ville in Rotterdam.
