The Swiss painter and illustrator Robert Kiener was a student of the artist Paul Volmer in Bern. In addition to his work as a painter, he also worked as a medical illustrator.

This beautiful scene prevents a view of Lake Lugano in the Tessin region of Switzerland as seen from one of the surrounding mountains.
