Gothic Style Chest Dated 1671 from Church or Monastery

Beautiful sculpted antique chest dated featuring gothic style ogival arches, and the faces of two women, possibly nuns.  The date 1671 appears on the interior rim of the chest.  We believe parts of the chest are 17th Century and other elements were restored at a later date.  An additional annotation on the rim appears to read either Chapel PBRE or “Chapel Pere” (Chapel of Our Father).
