Condition: Very good. Note that there are some marks on the surface that appear to be due to the natural texture of the wood on which this work was painted (see detail below)
1892-1966
The Swiss artist Francis Guex lived and worked for most of his life in the town of La Sallaz just above Lausanne. He is known for his landscapes showing his home village and scenes of the Vaud countryside in the region near Lausanne.
Note: There are several light marks on the painting that appear to be due to the structure of the wood board on which it is painted (see vertical lines below).
